Humble Beginnings...
What started out as a wood crafting hobby, bloomed into a small home business venture, after being asked to make prototype tool holders for a local optical company.For financial and legal documentation purposes we had to give our business a name, but when it comes to matters of the heart, it's hard to call something you love to do a "business". For us, it's more about creating and providing others with a product they love.
Dustpuppy Designs was derived from my pet Doxie, Bubs. Bubs loved to join me out in the shop and stand guard at the door. When he wasn't performing his routine security patrol, Bubs was sniffing through the sawdust, thus getting covered with it from head to tail. Unfortunately, I realized they didn't make ear and eye protection for dogs, so I had to turn Bubs away at the shop door, but I always remember him as our company's "dustpuppy" representative.
